- >Hmm.. I wonder if GEM-DEU handles MAPxx as well as ExMy. If it does
- >maybe I could save it in the ExMy format. Anthony?
-
- Yes, GEM-DEU does support the MAPxy format as well as ExMy, but this
- is autodetecting based on your IWAD - so if you have a Doom 1 IWAD,
- then it'll always save as ExMy. Unfortunately, loading a MAPxy format
- PWAD would just add extra entries, rather than replace a level (ie.
- you wouldn't be able to edit it)
-
- >Bur does BM realy look for a MAPxx entry i the Doom1 wad if I use a PWAD
- >with MAPxx?
-
- I think it looks for both, and then when it finds one, stops. Try
- with the Warp parameter - this would let you tell it to look for
- MAP01, and it should find that in the PWAD...
-

- >same way in Doom1 and Doom2?
-
- Yes, the only difference is the ExMy/MAPxy marker.

-
- I doubt Badshell will let you do it, as it will tell it to look
- for a ExMy level (because it knows you have Doom 1 IWAD), when you
- want it to look for MAPxy.
